NBCUniversal and Amazon have officially announced yesterday June 23rd that the peacock app will be finally released today July 24th for Fire TV and Fire Tablets in the U.S.
It will be compatible with the entire Fire TV product line-up. With Alexa, Fire TV customers can search for and open Peacock using their voice, just say “Alexa, open Peacock.” Full Alexa title integration will roll out later this year, which will allow customers to navigate the entire Peacock catalog from the Alexa Voice Remote, or by using voice from across the room with Fire TV Cube or by pairing an Echo device to any Fire TV streaming media stick or Fire TV televisions.

In addition to adding Peacock to the Fire TV and tablets, they also reached an agreement to distribution of their other 15 NBCUniversal network apps. Some of the network apps that will be included are, NBC, Bravo, NBC News, NBC Sports, and Telemundo, among others.

The Peacock app will be available on all Fire TV models with a free ad-supported subscription that gives you access to thousands of movies and TV shows. You can also subscribe to a premium plan for $4.99 per month, which still has ads but unlocks more content, or you can subscribe to the $9.99 per month plan with no ads.
